**Environment** Packaging the nightly snapshots of `OpenSCAD.app` into `OpenSCAD.pkg` on macOS. This is needed in certain distribution settings. **Issue** The standard macOS `pkgbuild` program filters out all .git files or folders when creating a package. The nightly snapshots contains the following text file (path shown from the mounted `OpenSCAD-2025.09.07.dmg`). `/Volumes/OpenSCAD/OpenSCAD.app/Contents/Resources/libraries/MCAD/.git` Note that this is a file and not a .git directory. This file contains one line in text: `gitdir: ../../.git/modules/libraries/MCAD` Because of codesigning on macOS the resulting OpenSCAD.app fails to open on macOS if this file is missing. Please consider to rename this file in the snapshots, or remove the file if it is not needed in the final application. I note that the stable release 2021 does not have this file (or the similar `.gitignore` file in the same folder).
