The release property added to Version was added in [v17.0](https://packaging.pypa.io/en/latest/changelog.html#id20) so any packaging versions being used earlier than this are no longer compatible with the library.



This commit that added use of Version https://github.com/marshmallow-code/marshmallow/commit/a63c28edde1e3f1f522aab8a7de231230786ebc1 only specified that the packaging library is needed so there were no dependency resolve issues for projects using older versions.



The version requirements should be updated to

`install_requires=["packaging>=17.0"],`

So that other projects pulling in the library can correctly resolve the dependencies needed.
