`--max-arg-length` is supposed to default to a platform-specific value if not specified, but it's instead being set to NaN. This has the effect of disabling lint-staged's automatic splitting of too-long command lines.

This was apparently introduced when migrating away from commander in a9585ac7ce0162c5c6c9aa88a28c11c812abedaf.
