fonttools/fonttools #4073 · read the original issue
It seems like `fonttools` build does not pass `CYTHON_FREETHREADING_COMPATIBLE=1` or set `freethreading_compatible=True` in its Cython directives. This means that when we run with the 3.14t wheel, on the first import the GIL is re-enabled.
```
RuntimeWarning("The global interpreter lock (GIL) has been enabled to load module 'fontTools.misc.bezierTools', which has not declared that it can run safely without the GIL. To override this behavior and keep the GIL disabled (at your own risk), run with PYTHON_GIL=0 or -Xgil=0.")
